A major component of the original Revitalization of Animal Agriculture in Michigan Initiative funding from the State of Michigan legislature provided for significant construction and improvements to animal agriculture facilities at Michigan State University. The construction phase of the initiative included the complete renovation of Anthony Hall, home to MSU animal scientists. The original building was modernized, a new state-of-the-art meat laboratory was constructed and the dairy plant was renovated. The Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education was built and the judging pavilion razed. New buildings were constructed and state-of-the-art equipment was installed at the on-campus beef, equine, poultry and swine farms.
